The 2013-enacted original Act was revised by the new Companies law. The Company Law Board, the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, and the Appellate Authority for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction have been replaced by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). Both judicial and technical members will make up the new body. A person who has served as a retired High Court judge for five years is qualified to serve as the National Company Law Tribunal's President (NCLT).
