After being approved by Parliament, the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 went into force on May 1st, 2017, with all 92 of its provisions. This Act guarantees timely project completion, better building quality, balances the rights of purchasers and builders, and further promotes responsibility and openness in the real estate sector.
